Lily wanted to be brave, but she was so scared. She breathed deeply before leaving the wardrobre. Her eyes opened with fear when she noticed the footprints on the floor. There were really big ones, and there were covered by blood.
''I have to be brave.''-she reminded her when was about to hide again.
She followed the footprints. Even knowing it could be dangerous, she know it was the only way to find and face the monster.
The rest of the house was a completely mess. There were things broken and blood everywhere. Lily found them in the kitchen. Mom and dad were death. The footprints ended there. However, there was no sign of the monster.
Lily turned back and realized there was more footprints behind her. With tears in her eyes, she slowly looked down at her feet.
She was being the monster all the time. And there was no wardrobe where she could hide from herself.
