That night, my way home seemed to be
longer than usual.
It was so dark and the lampposts
weren’t giving light enough. That made me feel nervous. I’d never liked the
dark.
I heard it. The steps behind me. Was
it my imagination? No. Impossible. I was sure about that. Somebody was
following me. But why?? And who??
I started to walk faster, trying to
escape from whatever was behind me. But my feet took me to a dead-end street.
Great. I felt that deep breath on my nape, and then, the swettiest voice
I’ve ever listened to:
-Do you want to come to the dark side
with me, my dear?
I turned back and I saw a tall young
man next to me. He was wearing a black suit and a dark mask was covering his
light grey eyes. He had short, white hair and was so pale-skinned. He offered
me his hand.
-Don’t be afraid of the shadows, my
dear. They know me quite well.
I dind’t know what to say. Who was
that guy?
Even I should probably tried to get
away, I decided to hold his hand.
And then, we fell onto the dark.
I opened my mouth trying to scream,
but I was so shocked that I just couldn’t say anything. The boy was still
holding my hand. He seemed really excited and he couldn’t stop laughing. That
wasn’t funny!
Fortunelately, we stopped falling
soon. I took a look around me. There were shadows everywhere. And obviusly,
there was no light. It was like walk on the sand, on a white and soft sand.
However, I felt something different
in that place. I couldn’t explain it, but I knew that there was more than the
darkness and that there was a reason why he brought me there.
-What’s this place?-I asked him,
confused.
-The place where dreams start, my
dear. The place where nightmares fade out and dissapair.
I looked around again, and I finally
could understand a little bit better what was he actually trying to say. Around
me, I could see the flashes of white lights. But it wasn’t only light. There, I
could see another boys and girls like me. Some of them were laughing and seemed
to be really happy, but another ones had lost the shine in their eyes, and
seemed to be lost and scared.
The place where dreams start, the
place where nightmares fade out and dissapair.
What the hell I was doing there?
-Why did you bring me here?
-Isn’t it obvius, my dear?-he
smiled-You’re afraid, but you’re brave enough to face up with you worst fears,
you’re brave enough to see the beauty is within the dark.
-And that’s why you followed me?
-Exactly. You have a lot of
potential, my dear. And that’s why you deserve this.
-Deserve what? The darkness?
-No.-he laughed again-Deserve to be
my heir, to show to other people not to be afraid of the dark.
To be honest, I felt a little proud
about it.
-All right.-I felt surprised about
what I was saying-I’ll do it. I’ll be your heir.
-Excellent. Welcome to the dark side,
my dear.
For the first time that night, I
smiled.
-But first of all, you need some new
clothes.
He shook his hand and my school uniform
started to change. It became to a gorgeus black dress with little diamonds on
it. A dark mask covered my blue eyes too. I wished I could have a mirror with
me, because I’m sure in that moment I looked awesome.
-Now, you’re ready. You could start
whenever you want, my little queen. Let’s show to the world the beauty of the
dark side.
I noded my head and I dissapaired
from there.
I realized I was in the street again.
A few meters in front of me, there was a young girl. She seemed to be a little
scared. I smiled, thinking that I was living the same situation a few moments
ago. I started to walk behind her. She started to run, but I was faster.
Finally, she stopped, exhausted. I
came closer to her, smiling. She raised her head and saw me completely shocked.
I offered her my hand.
-Do you want to come to the dark side
with me, my dear?
Take me through the night, fall into the dark side...🎶
